Russell – Jessie “June” Franklin, 77 year old lifelong resident of Russell passed away at her home with family at her side on March 8, 2013. She is survived by her sons, Edwin M. and Warren P. Franklin both of Russell; a daughter-in-law, Vicky Franklin and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Joan Clarke, a brother Thomas and his wife Nettie Clarke, a sister Virginia and her husband Fred Butterfield and a sister Donna and her husband John LaTray. She was predeceased by a brother, John Calvin and two sisters, Elizabeth and Susan, as well as, her granddaughter Marcie Franklin.
She was a graduate of The House of Good Samaritan Nursing School in 1955. She spent her life caring for others as a Registered Nurse, retiring from Public Health in 1955. She also worked for many years at E.J. Noble Hospital in Canton.
There will be a private spring burial in South Russell Cemetery.
