RUSSELL- Kathleen J. VanCamp, age 92, of Russell, NY passed away on Thursday, January 02, 2014 at St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena.
Her calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at French Funeral Home, Edwards. Her funeral service will follow on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Kathleen was born on November 20, 1921 in Russell, NY to the late Harry and Eva (Goudough) Miles. She attended Palmerville School. Kathleen married Clifford E. VanCamp on August 6, 1940 in Heuvelton with Rev. Allan G. Bowering officiating. Clifford passed away on September 20, 2003.
Kathleen lived in Russell most of her life. She worked at Barlo’s Nursing Home in Canton for 27 years. She loved cooking and taking care of plants. Her favorite was the African violet. She loved animals, especially her cat.
Kathleen is survived by a son and his wife, Donald E. and Janet VanCamp of Russell; three daughters and their husbands, Joyce E. and Charles Mix of Ft. Myers, FL, Judy A. and Paul Moore of Potsdam and Joan M. and Stephen Hewlett of Russell; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
