CANTON — Funeral services for 53 year old Linda Mae Rood of Miner Street Road will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 21 Park Street, Canton with Rev. Roberta Gardner officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Bridge Cemetery, Canton.
Linda was born June 23, 1961 in Canton a daughter of May (Curtis) Durham of Russell and the late Harold C. Durham. She grew up in Russell and attended Knox Memorial School. On April 12, 1991, she married Franklin Rood in Canton.
In addition to her beloved mother and husband, she is survived by her loving children, Chris Durham of Canton, Missy Durham of Russell, Amber Rood of Heuvelton, Lance Rood of Canton and Brooke Rood of Canton; two brothers, Randy & Diane Durham of Russell and Tracy & Melissa Durham of Russell; several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her feline companion, “Gin-Gin”
Linda enjoyed precious time spent with family & friends, canning vegetables and watching the birds (especially cardinals) at her feeder. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
