Karl K. White

kwhiteKarl K. White, 66, of Branon Drive, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Ogdensburg, NY on April 20, 1950.

Karl served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1994 having served his country for over 20 years. Karl was a Computer Systems Operations Craftsman with NATO, and served two tours in Germany during his time in the service. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Karl attended Plattsburgh State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. He went on to work for various companies in Plattsburgh, including Henry’s Pools and Spa’s and most recently worked as a driver for Plattsburgh Motor Service. Karl enjoyed caring for animals and tending to his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Diane (Gonyea) White of West Chazy; two sons, Stephen White of West Chazy and Charles J. Dumont, II and his wife Chantel of Champlain; one brother, Keven White of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Jessica Haig and her companion Dillan Brockmeir, Jacob Reynolds, and Jordyn Reynolds; and one great-granddaughter, Tristyn Brockmeir.

Karl was predeceased by one daughter, Nichole M. Reynolds, his parents, Karl G. and Harriet “Ceicle” (Caswell) White; one sister, Wilma Galindo; and his father-in-law, Donald Gonyea.

Visitation will be held at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood, NY on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. with services to follow. There will be a potluck to follow at 4 Blanchard Avenue in Norwood, following the services. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
