Rick A. Mackin

rmackinFuneral service for Rick A. Mackin, 56, of Russell, will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Fellowship Center, Madrid with Pastor Rick Sinclair, officiating. Rick died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Christian Fellowship Center, 3662 CR 14; Madrid, NY 13660.

Surviving Rick are a brother, David Clark and wife Hunter of Charlottesville, VA; two sisters, Jeanne Coloton and husband David of High Point, NC and Kim French and husband Charles of Canton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, June Mackin-Clark; and step-father, Joe Clark; and by a brother, Gary Mackin.

Rick was born February 22, 1958 in Canton. He attended Knox-Memorial Central School and was a devout Christian. Rick was a member of the Madrid Christian Fellowship Center and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting. He was a member of the NRA, Bass Masters, North American Hunting Club, and the Boy Scouts of America.
