Karen Wiese Fuller

kfullerIt is with heavy hearts that we announce that Karen Wiese Fuller, age 70, passed away on May 10th peacefully at The Villages Regional Hospital in The Villages, Florida.

Karen was a proud graduate of Knox Memorial Central School, class of 1963.

Karen was a snowbird, spending the last few summers in McGraw, NY and winters in Summerfield, Florida.

She is predeceased by parents William and Genevieve Wiese, and sister Janet Wiese Bullock.

Karen is survived by Donald Bull Fuller, who was a great help to her over the years and as her health declined, and her sons George and Troy Fuller, and three grandchildren (Bradley Fuller, Mackenzie Fuller, Madison Fuller) whom she loved dearly. In addition she is survived by brothers Robert (Tim), William (Billy) and Paul (Butch) Wiese, and several nieces and nephews who thought the world of their Aunt Karen.

Upon graduation from high school, Karen left Russell to begin her working career for Clark Trucking in Syracuse. She eventually ended her working career as a manager for Suburban Propane in Cortland, NY.

She lived in McGraw for years with her family where she was a proud mother/grandmother/aunt.

Karen was a very wonderful person. Anyone who met her or talked to her even briefly came away realizing she was special, genuinely more interested in what was going on with you, than with herself.

Calling hours are set for Sunday May 17th, 11 – 1 at the Barth Funeral Home in McGraw NY, with the funeral and burial following immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knox Memorial Alumni Association (PO Box 528 Russell NY, 13664).
