Lawrence E. “Larry” Friot

CANTON — Funeral service for Lawrence E. Friot, 61, will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton, with Reggie  Curtis, officiating.

Spring burial will be held in the South Russell Cemetery.

Larry passed away on Friday, February 12, at United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home, Ogdensburg.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 15, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Larry was born, July 21, 1954 in Canton, the son of the late, Eugene and Audrie (Woods) Friot.

He graduated from Knox-Memorial Central School in 1972.

He was married to Darlene Colton.

Larry was a self-employed DJ, operated a bottle redemption center, worked at the Edson Martin beer plant, for French’s Truck and for Dick Matott of Kerr Trucking.

Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene of Canton; by a son, Shawn Friot of Canton and by a granddaughter, Emily Ann Friot of Canton; by a step-son, James “Jimmy” LaRock of Seneca Falls; by step-daughter, Lisette LaRock of Russell; by a brother, Terry Friot and wife Colleen of Russell and by grandchildren, Jasmin, James III and Kilee LaRock and Kody and Kiana Coffey.
